I heart Tennis!
Had a fantastic game of tennis with Fang and Pierrick in the evening! The last time i played was late last year and I didn't enjoy that game at all. This time I got my rackets restringed and regripped, got smacking new balls, got Mr Yeoh to book the courts for moi (thanks KEN!) and we were off to a good start. We laughed and played the fool amidst the wonderful "POP"s of powderful swings, cheering Mr Federer as he took on our wild shots. I had forgotten how much i really loved the game. How much i missed the serves, the running, the pops. My back hand still sucks, but what the heck. We made a pact, to play weekly, so yay! Finally found tennis buds! I heart tennis!
While we were waiting for 199 at the NIE bus stop (beside the courts), we were invaded by swarms of mosquitos. It was disgusting! everyone at the bus stop were moving and swatting themselves, i could SEE the mosquitos flying around in the dark. Me and Fang ended up standing in the middle of the road to stay clear of the evil bloodsuckers. To all you NIE peeps out there, beware... Its a filthy breeding place.
We proceeded to dinner with LK and YY at Sakae. Hungry researchers = many coloured plates = super bloated and satisfyingly full. As usual we cannot get away from any discussion without gossiping about bosses, complaining about how menial and unimportant our research is, or how we will never be like MIT or CAMBRIDGE grads. Nobel prizes and awards are outta our reach. But i know deep down, we take pride in our work. The best thing in doing this, for me at least, is the company of fantastic lab mates who are humble, understanding, and truely enjoy the pursuit of knowledge. We've seen each other through many areas of our lives and in our work, encouraging one another. I couldn't ask for a more favorable working and learning enviroment, or better collegues. So.. I heart Labmates!
Aching legs and arms, off to a good nights rest, tonight, I dream of Wimbleton with Andy Roddick and Roger Federer. sigh*heart heart heart*

The day began as early as 530am on 5th May! Most of us hardly got any sleep at all but we still managed to look our best i'm sure hehe. Ready, set, go!

Really really thank God for His blessing in this. The tester was so kind to me, was quite steady in the circuit and all until i reached a junction at Teck Wye, should have waited until the 2 predestrians cross finish than i turn, dunno wat got into me, ended up stopping right in front of them and block the on coming road fortunately no cars at that moment. My tester went" Oh Oh..." and i was like 'shit....'
Scenario 1: Arranging for 1st lesson over the phone.

Scenario 6: Approaching pedestrian crossing, mother crossing with 2 small girls. About to stop, but uncle raymond slams E brakes.
U.R: "你要闯死那个小女孩阿!"

Scenario 7: 2 way lane, traffic light ahead. All cars proceed to stop. Poor space judgement on my part, squeeze ahead, not enough space, stop right over a hump.
U.R: (turns head and stares with beady eyes) “十分” *10 points*

Scenario 8: I pointed out that a lot of drivers on the road were not signaling before changing lanes.
U.R: 你现在只是learner, learner是下等人， 什么都不可以乱乱来。上等人要做什么就做什么，不用看别人脸色咯。

U.R: 恭喜你啊。。现在他们会给你1个temporary license hor ， 只可以在新加坡架，如果架去 JB，回来见我。First year 只可以扣12分 hor，扣满了，回来见我。以后开车小心啊，anything happen license suspend 回来见我。Ok la, thank you ah, enjoy yourself enjoy yourself! Intro Friend to me, Bye bye!"
*Congratulations ah. Now they only give you temporary license hor. Only can drive in Singapore, if you drive to JB, come back and see me. First year only can deduct up to 12 points, if hit 12 points, come back and see me. Next time drive carefully ah, suspend license come back and see me. ..*

Clutter
The clutter in my life, the clutter in my mind, the clutter in my heart.
I think i get ahead of myself too much lately. I want to do things fast. My way.
So i get impatient and worry excessively. And often say things that hurt the people i love, I think, when i'm this way, i hurt God too. I forget to let Him take control, i neglect His soft gentle voice, i ignore His guidance and will for my life. Father, forgive me, i need to meet you at calvary again... Remind me, that I cannot live without You.
Decluttering 101:
Declutter my life (Things I must absolutely do)
1. Confirmation report by 23rd April (Sigh)
2. Prepare for Qualifiers (Double sigh)
3. Get Driving License on 26th April (no more uncle raymond)
4. Start packing for new house (pui, i hate packing)
Declutter my mind (Things I can do)
1. Work out regularly
2. Take a walk with God (my all time favorite)
3. Hang out with friends i can be completely myself with
Declutter my heart (Find a time for stillness everyday)
1. Smell the smell of fresh grass in the morning; it always perks me up
2. Feel a gentle breeze brushing on my face; it reminds me of God's tangible presence
3. Lounge in my deckchair and watch the stars when everyone's asleep; it quietens me and makes me feel special, like the sky was lited just for me
4. Watch "My Best Friend's Wedding" for the millionth time; it always triggers the romantic in me
Things I would like to do for no reason at all
1. Dance under the moonlight to "The way you look tonight"; not the Buble version. The Frank Sinatra one. That's the way i imagined it.
2. Walk a dog; no one around me wants to let me have my own doggie...
3. Make creme brule; a French dessert that's simply magical
4. Rock climb; I like a physical challenge
5. Tae Kwon Do/Kendo; I always wanted to learn how to fight, very unprincessy i know.

Here's to a fresh new year ahead! Time to make some new year resolutions:
1. Healthy lifestyle 101- Exercise regularly and keep fit!

3. Attend MRS conference in San Fran cum April

5. Prayer walk in the office
6. Prayer walk once a week around ZOUK (*youk youk* me and michelle have a pact to pray that God will close down ZOUK this year in the most dramatic way ever. Even better if they build a YMCA there after it's shut down. Join me in praying for what may be the greatest testimony yet!)
